Referrals | Testimonials February 18, 2009 Hi Robin,
By way of update, Max is swimming really well. I can't keep him out of the water (unless I command him otherwise) whether it's the lake or running and frolicking up small creeks. Maggie showed him the way chasing ducks floating in Lake Washington. He's really been great for the old girl and for this old guy, too! He's good with the hose downs and baths, too. He did this new "Max" thing when we were up in Hyack near Snoqualmie Pass snowshoeing a week ago: The snow was compact and he was bored hanging around waiting for us to use the port-a-potties before the hike, so he started rubbing his face along the smooth, ice like snow. He then realized how much fun that was and started running face down front paws tucked in and muzzle outstretched in circles and figure eights up and down this little mogul type rise driving his back legs. He'd do this with one side of his face then the other incessantly. He drew a small crowd, including children and we were all cracking up with laughter. He seemed to relish the stage and got goofier and goofier eventually luring Maggie into the act! Once hiking, he runs up ahead, down slopes, through the woods, streams, etc. always returning to me on the trail, mostly without me whistling these days. On the street, he sits and stays on command when we get to a curb to cross. I'm hoping eventually he'll just come to the curb and sit all by himself without my command on or off leash. It's a city safety thing I've worked on with all my dogs and I'm sure he'll get it in time. He's so smart! Thanks so much again!
Best regards,
February 18, 2009 Bill,
Robin and her family are very loving and careful toward their puppies’ and dogs’ health and welfare. I saw all of her dogs when I picked up Max and I was very impressed by all of their behavior and beautifully regal looks. Robin was so well organized and the kennel off her garage area was spotless. I was touched when was she was saying goodbye to Max she became a misty and apologetically emotional. Its obvious she cares about the pups and her breeding line of dogs. In fairness, she had Max a little longer than usual, about 5 months. I opted for her to train him in her house and in connection with another trainer so he would be housebroken and have a good start toward sit, settle, stay and heel before I took him into my home. I have trained pups before and there is really no mystery, just time and consistent devotion. I was afraid I lacked the time to do it right and I was glad I spent the additional money. The transition has been easy as a result and Max may push the limits like a child but his training shows when I work with him, which is daily, even if for a little while. I tell you, I’m getting a lot of exercise hiking, snow shoeing and walking with him evenings and weekends. I couldn’t recommend Eola Kennels and Robin Williams any higher to you. She is a class act all the way and her dogs are a reflection of her care and knowledge. I wish I could get another one from her! Maybe one day I will. Please feel free to call me if you need further edification or clarification.
Kind Regards,
